Taxi Driver is a 1976 movie directed by Martin Scorsese about a disturbed loner that feels disgusted with the city he lives in, New York. He finds a beautiful woman who volunteers for a presidential candidate's campaign which sparks his obsession with saving the world. He then plots to assassinate a presidential candidate but instead becomes an accidental hero when he kills the pimp of an underage prostitute.
