In the mid 1950s, a nightmare begins on the peaceful island of Jersey in the English Channel. Women are being attacked on the streets at night by a man wearing a frightening mask and long coat who smells very bad. The attacks continue for years and the police seem powerless to stop the man the press dubs, "The Beast of Jersey." Just when the panic is at an all time high, the Beast changes his modus operandi and begins taking children from their homes. This continues for years. Scotland Yard is brought in. Officers cannot catch the Beast and then, a simple traffic stop leads to his capture. What police find in the home of Edward Paisnel is the stuff of nightmares
