We are in a world where we are working in complex, ambiguous environments – and the last year in particular has seen an explosion of this. Workplace exhaustion, digital fatigue, mental stress, lack of wellbeing are a few key trends emerging as a result.
When we observe nature, we find that it also experiences its own stresses and threats, as well as health. But nature reacts differently to fatigue, exhaustion and stress – and in looking to it for lessons, we can begin to understand a different way to approach these threats within the workplace.
In this episode of Digital Workplace Impact, Nancy Goebel hosts co-authors Paul Miller and Shimrit Janes to introduce their latest book, Nature of Work – The new story of work for a living age, in conversation with Sue Pitkin-Frost. Together, they explore how living systems and ecosystems operate and explain how this new story of work can provide a lens through which to view the world of work and understand it in a multifaceted way.
Guest speakers: Paul Miller, CEO, Digital Workplace Group; Shimrit Janes, Director of Knowledge, Digital Workplace Group; Sue Pitkin-Frost, Collaboration Expert.
