Curtains up! This week we are joined by Matt Billups. After graduating from the Brit School, Matt quickly found himself playing in the band for X-Factor winner Joe McElderry which then led on to the touring show of Joseph. Since then he’s been a regular in the theatre world touring the UK, Europe and depping in the West End. We chat about his career, what it’s like to play in the theatre, the gear required (lots of percussion), prepping for the West End, coping with long tours, a chance meeting with Dennis Chambers, the dreaded ‘never again’ list and dealing with imposter syndrome.
