DTVC Extra 2, The Fast and Furious Franchise: Fast and Furious and Fast Five

"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some of the weeks we don't have episodes of the main podcast. In this episode we continue the series looking at the Fast and Furious films, moving to "Fast and Furious" and "Fast Five." I try to set the stage for what the film industry was like when both films come out, look at how the franchise pivots from racing films to big budget blockbusters, and how that pivot allows the films to thrive at a time when Disney was starting to consolidate its hold on the industry. I also chat about Spiro Razatos, how he takes things to another level when he joins in Fast Five, plus his PM classics and the contributions he made to the Golden Age of DTV Action.
