DTVC Extra 9, The Expendables Franchise: The Expendables and The Expendables 2

"DTVC Extra" are shorter solo episodes that I'll be posting on some of the weeks we don't have episodes of the main podcast. In this episode we start our series looking at the Expendables films with "The Expendables" and "The Expendables 2." With the first one, I get into some of the context in which the film was released, when we as action fans were looking for exactly what Stallone delivered to us; I also look at how this film brought Dolph back into the mainstream. Then with the second one, I talk about Van Damme as the baddie and the great job he did, plus how Stallone delivered again on what we as action fans wanted out of these movies..
