Episode 03 - Stick with the studio recording

54 min • 31 juli 2022
Our third episode is an eclectic mix of everything that makes Eurovision that joyful cocktail we love so much. There’s a Finnish diva in a tablecloth, a short Turkish man bursting out of a golden cocoon, and a group of Moldovan men with the most memorable leg action in the history of the contest. Although this episode has no specific theme Andy and Ryan agree that most of these songs sound better as recorded tracks than they did live. Also, many of them, with the obvious exception of the one that came second in the final, didn’t fare as well in the contest as they should have done including Tik-Tok famous Getter Jaani and UK darlings Bardo who very nearly topped the UK charts back in ’82. Also, let it be known that Keiino superfan Ryan has waited until episode 3 before playing any music by his favourite group. Such admirable restraint!
