Eurovision Radio International – The Ultimate Eurovision Experience
Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is broadcast from Malta's Radio 105FM on Tuesday evenings from 2100 - 0059 hours CET. The show is also broadcast on SWITCH Radio Essex in the United Kingdom live on Wednesday evenings from 1900 - 2300 hours CET as well as on the Facebook Page of Eurovision Radio International with an interactive chatroom.
AT A GLANCE - ON THE SHOW THIS WEEK
Live Interview with TVORCHI (Ukraine 2023): Following the Eurovision 2022 victory of the Ukraine with the Kalush Orchestra and the song "Stefania" - TVORCHI is following in the footsteps with the song "Heart of Steel" to represent the Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom on 13 May 2023. TVORCHI will represent Ukraine in a new way - they show that Ukrainian Music is different. If previous Ukrainian entrants GO_A and Eurovision Winner KALUSH showed more ethical music, TVORCHI represent Ukraine with electronic music. Ukraine is directly qualified for the Grand Final due to the victory in 2022 and was the first country in the 2023 National Final Season that had their national final Vidbir which took place on 17 December 2022. TVORCHI are a duo formed in 2018 by producer Andrii Hutsuliak and vocalist Jimoh Augustus Kehinde (alias Jeffery Kenny). They have released five studio albums: The Parts (2018), Disco Lights (2019), 13 Waves (2020), Road (2020) and Heart of Steel (2022).The Radio International Interview Team is extremely delighted to welcome TVORCHI live to this week's edition of Radio International for an interview to get to know Ukraine's Musical Ambassador to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and of course we'll be listening to some of Tvorchi's music during the interview session.
EUROVISION 2023 - The National Final Season: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year has already begun - the selection process in various countries that are participating at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Livepool, United Kingdom on May 09, 11 and 13 for the Grand Final. In the run up to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience will be playing many of the songs that are offered to the public in the many participating countries out of which the best ones will be competing in Liverpool in May.
Eurovision 2023 - The Benidorm Festival (Spain): For the second year in a row Spain selects their entry to the Eurovision Song Contest via the Benidorm Festival concisting of two Semi Finals and a Grand Final. Chanel came out of Beniform 2022 with the song "SloMo" ranking third in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. Semi Final 1 is scheduled to take place on 31 Jan 2023, Semi Final 2 on 02 Feb 2023 and the Grand Final of the Beniform Festival takes place on 04 Feb 2023 fromPalau Municipal d'Esports, Benidorm, Spain. 18 acts were selected and one of them will be the Spanish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool on 13 May 2023, directly qualified for the Grand Final there. To gear the fans up for the festival Radio International's Javier Leal has listened to all the 18 songs and ranked them in what he thinks should be the act to represent Spain at Eurovision 2023. Javier will be co-hosting an hour of Radio International this week introducing the competing songs in the Benidorm Festival 2023. Enjoy!
