Eurovision Radio International – The Ultimate Eurovision Experience
Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is broadcast from Malta's Radio 105FM on Tuesday evenings from 2100 - 0059 hours CET. The show is also broadcast on SWITCH Radio Essex in the United Kingdom live on Wednesday evenings from 1900 - 2300 hours CET as well as on the Facebook Page of Eurovision Radio International with an interactive chatroom.
AT A GLANCE - ON THE SHOW THIS WEEK
Through the Summer 2023 with Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience: The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 was staged in Liverpool last May with Sweden's Loreen winning the contest for a second time after her victory in 2012 with the song "Euphoria". Her winning song for 2023 is "Tattoo". Radio International has still a number of interviews from the contest and the pre-events which will be shared during the next few summer weeks of 2023.
This week we have interview clips with the Busker (Malta 2023) and Alika (Estonia 2023) from Eurovision 2023. From the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2023 there is Andre Portelli.
Toto Cutugno (Eurovision Winner 1990, Italy and Eurovision Host 1990)
Tribute to Toto Cutugno (Eurovision Winner 1990, Italy): The Eurovision World received sad news on 22 Aug 2023 of the passing away of Eurovision Winner 1991 - Toto Cutugno who won the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 for Italy with "Insieme". The year after in 1991 together with the Eurovision Winner of 1964 Gigliola Cinquetto, Toto hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in a most memorable way. He was a singer and songwriter and wrote many songs for other artists but also performed classics at the Italian San Remo Song Festival. One more memorable entry there was "L'Italiano" that came 5th in the 1983 edition of San Remo. Now Toto has passed away at the age of 80 after a long illness in hospital. Rest in Peace Toto. Radio International will broadcast a special tribute to the singer to once again remember his life and music.
EUROSTARZ 2023: The upcoming edition is scheduled for 09 Sep 2023 in London, United Kingdom with artists from the Eurovision Song Contest, and they are Claudia Faniello (Malta 2017), Ari Ólafsson (Iceland 2018), Marc Roberts (Ireland 1997) and Teya & Salena (Austria 2023). Let's Dance: Since it is the Summer of 2023 there is a special hour filled with as many Eurovision dance hits as possible as compiled by Rafael Vivas who is a keen listener to the show from Venezuela.
