Chris started playing professionally while still a teenager, in New York City. First with hardcore band Orange 9mm, then with alternative metal band Helmet. From here, he joined Gavin Rossdale and Bush and has been with them for 18 years. Along the way, he’s also managed to work with Peter Green, Katy Perry and Blur.
Chris talks about the difficult task of having to leave a band he founded because his own musical core was no longer aligned with what the band was doing… being comfortable (or not) in your own skin… discipline and commitment… being tied up to the chimney on his roof of his house - by his own dad… Bob Rock’s influence on him… his cool vintage gear, being a dad, and more.
