Sarah Crichton, editor in chief of the book publishing company Henry Holt & Co., is our guest this week, and we're talking about how she bounced back after losing her previous job—as head of her own imprint at Farrar, Strauss & Giroux—due to what certainly appeared to be ageism. We talk about what ageism might actually be about (spoiler: $$$), why it doesn't pay to stay angry (and what it does pay to do), and how much of ageism is coming at us versus how much is coming from within.
