My 10 Predictions For Media & Entertainment In 2022

In this special year-end episode, I lay out my 10 predictions for media and entertainment in 2022. Just when we thought we were out(side), it (Covid) pulls us back in(side)! (Yes, a Godfather Part III reference to start things off!). While nothing is more powerful than real physical human connection, our increasingly tech-driven virtual world was the big story for media and entertainment in 2021. In particular, this past year marked the mass “coming out” party for an entirely new kind of transformational decentralized blockchain-enabled Web 3.0 world. And in the world of media, the headline blockchain story took its form in so-called non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Will the blockchain’s adoption in media accelerate in 2022? My Magic 8-Ball says “Signs point to ‘YES’.” And that is my prediction #1.
