Show Notes:
1. Turbo Mag BCAA - this metabolic balancer + electrolytes will ensure a horse drinks and it will keep them hydrated for the trip but more importantly it will keep them hydrated at the cellular level when you get to your new ice-cold destination. Horses that are used to warmer weather will not drink in the cold, and this sets them up for dehydration and impaction colic. So I would keep this listener’s horse on Turbo Mag at least until late spring or early summer when the weather starts to warm back up.
2. ADR Paste - This is a critical hind gut digestive aid. It uses a synbiotic approach by combining prebitoics + probitoics, along with postbiotics to provide the most comprehensive support for travel and relocation stress. I would give 1 tube per day the week before the trip, each day of the trip, and for at least 10 days after arriving. This will ensure the hind gut stays healthy and functioning properly. After that, I would switch to the Powder version of ADR and make it part of the daily feed regimen for that first 6 months at the new home.
3. Gastro pHix - This is a stomach buffer which will help fend off the potential for ulcer development during this very major transition in life. I would start Gastro pHix right away at 1 lb AM and PM, and continue that through the first 6 months at the new home.
