This month another massive news block: tons of Final Fantasy XVI news and possible converts to the faith. Chocobo GP turning into a #DeadGame (maybe). Big updates to Stranger of Paradise, two *huge* updates to FFXIV, and with great difficulty, trying to decide if the new Forspoken demo is good or not.

It’s a fascinating project that dares bring revolutionary politics and post-modernism into a JRPG, but also squanders all its potential by being a disposable mobile game that was indeed, disposed of. We start with the disaster that was Babylon’s Fall, then continue with the disaster that was Chocobo GP, then discuss the legitimately awesome success of Triangle Strategy, before ending on our plans to KILL CHAOS with Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins. (Which might be a successful failure? Who is to say?)
