I feel the need... the need for a podcast exploring the films and career of Tom Cruise.
Welcome to Cruise Views, a podcast all about actor, producer, and global icon Tom Cruise, reviewing each of his films in order! This week your hosts Adam and Tom discuss Tom Cruise's very first on-screen performance in 1981's Endless Love, directed by Franco Zeffirelli and starring Brooke Shields, Martin Hewitt, and Shirley Knight.
The film follows David and Jade, who are high-school sweethearts and happy in love. But when Jades grades starts to drop her father forbid the young couple to see each other. Mad with frustration and desire David tries to reverse the decision, with catastrophic results.
Adam and Tom explore the production, release, and context of the film and how it fits into Tom Cruise's career. They also find time to play their exciting new game, Two Cruise and a Lie! What will they make of the film? What is the overall "Cruiseness" rating? Find out on this episode of Cruise Views!
The next episode reviews Taps (1981) and is out on Tuesday March 1st!
