Now that Maddie's harrowing ordeal is over, she and the 118 try to pick up the pieces and move on with their lives in 9-1-1 season 2 episode 14, only to find that it's not as simple as just putting the event behind them. It doesn't help when your Computer Assisted Dispatch system goes down and you have to go back to using paper maps like in the olden days. Hear us roast some of the show's gay male characters (somewhat constructively!) and ponder the episode's FBI storyline that was clearly originally meant to go in a different direction.

This is kind of a slow burn episode where we gradually realize what we thought was a well-written episode may not have been so well-written after all. Today we find ourselves TRAPPED in a discussion of 9-1-1 season 1 episode 9, Trapped. I don't know if you picked up on this, but this episode is actually all about being trapped. Several characters get into situations in which they are, either physically, metaphorically, or both, trapped. They also play the song Trapped by Bruce Springsteen just to further emphasize that the story is about being trapped. It's easy to feel trapped while watching TV episodes about the concept of being trapped. We all feel a little trapped sometimes. I'm trapped right now. Trap trap trap trap trap trapped.
