This is the Daily FRO for March 10th 2018.
Today I took proposal photos of my friend Dave Leno and I blew it. The moments captured are spot on but I blew the proper settings for the situation I was in.
We were on the set of 6 ABC a news station here in Philly. There was the wall of tv monitors and that's where the will you marry would be plastered. Well, I got a ton of flicker from those screens in my images.
I even did test shots prior to them arriving and I just missed it in my test shots, I didn't notice it. My shutter speed was much too high and thus captured the flickering of the screen.
You can learn form my mistake, if you're ever in a situation where you need to shoot something with monitors, make sure your shutter speed is slower to compensate.
