Extra! Extra! Read All About It! Harriet's Happenings S5 Ep 8

When Harriet Oleson's long distance cousin moves to Walnut Grover and starts a local Newspaper, she proves that the pen is mightier than the sword especially when it's in her hands. With the power of persuasion/influence others at her finger tips, Harriet opens her own type of Pandora's box and lets loose a sting of misleads, half-truths, and questionable statements. Not only that, but the mercantile is also having weekly sales ( at the customers expense ) which again leads Harriet to be oblivious to the effects of her actions. Among the locals who are hurt by Harriet's words are new-to-the-area Erich Schiller, a young teen with parents unable to read English who happens to have earned his spot in the Spelling Bee Competition.  After Harriet is given a taste of her of medicine, thanks to typesetters Laura and Albert, she comes back in full force to attack anyone and everyone.   Which leads to Charles making a memorable sermon about what the responsibility of having the freedom of the press.  How many more family members of Harriet are going to stop by Walnut Grove?  If everyone knows Harriet Oleson in Walnut Grove, why are people trusting what she writes? How long have the Schiller's been living in Walnut Grove? The Country?
