The Glass is Half Empty. Blind Journey Pt2. S5 Ep 13

Picking up exactly where the previous episode left off, the trek back to Walnut Grove from Winoka with Mary, Adam and the blind students moves on.  Harriet continues to share her impertinent opinions about Joe Kagan and gushes how excited she is to meet a fellow philantorpisht in Miss Hester Sue Terhune.  That's until Harriet finds out that Hester Sue is not a St. Louis Terhune but a Pascagoula Terhune.....oh, and Hester Sue is also a Black woman.  As the caravan continues to travel the rocky mountainous terrain of the prairie, a young boy named Samson traveling in the group starts to explore the rocky terrain of life when he inquires why Mrs. Oleson hates him and Joe Kagan. Let's also not forget there is another river to cross and Adam Kendall was starting to show signs of distress with the previous body of water.  As we cut back and forth between long takes of the traveling wagons and group we also get small vignettes of what's been happening back in Hero Township.  And before we know it the entire episode is over, while Harriet overcomes the town's lone bigot she and everyone else welcome the students to their new home. Do you think Joe Kagan thinks he's seen a ghost when the praiseverse blips and his wife show up as Hester Sue Terhune? Will we get to see more of Samson, Sue and Thomas now that they are residents of Walnut Grove?  Whose idea was it to wave at the blind students as they arrived?
