The Glass is Half Full. Blind Journey Pt1. S5 Ep 12

We catch up with retired boxer Joe Kagan who is still living in Walnut Grove. Or at least is getting by. After two failed attempts (thank you Harriet and other local bigot Mr. Larabee) Joe is finally allowed to attend church with the rest of congregation (A Big thank you to Mr.Oleson) Meanwhile, back in Winoka, Mary and Adam are informed the church owned building the school for the blind operates out of has been sold to none other than local nuisance Mr.Standish. With only a month before being evicted, Mary writes home for help. And help is received as Mr.Hanson’s old giant house is donated for the purpose of being the new school for the blind. While trying to out due everyone’s generosity, Harriet donates all expenses needed to fix up the house. Not only that but upon hearing that a St. Louis Terhune (a socially elite family) will be joining the Winoka school for the blind on their trip, Harriet donates all her new bed furnishings. She also decides to come along on the trip to personally welcome Mary, Adam, the students and, most importantly Hester Sue Terhune, to their new home in Walnut Grove. But they got miles to go before they can sleep in their new place and many obstacles to overcome on the journey home.  What other cherry picking does Harriet do from the holy scripture? How long is this trek from Winoka to Walnut Grove going to take with the blind students…and Harriet? Why is everyone so quiet on this long walk home?
