While Walter de la Mare is usually best remembered as a highly respectable poet, he also wrote a good deal of fiction, and in particular, several highly individual tales of the macabre. . One such story is Seaton's Aunt, which in a  visit to a friend's quiet country house leads to some strange and haunting experiences...
