Alright this was supposed to be Turkey Day, an animated movie from 2020. However, that was unwatchable. But I offer you a deal. This episode gets 50 downloads, not plays, in 48 hours and I will watch both Turkey Day and Turkey Day 2. Plus, you get to enjoy this episode on the Netflix original Lift! Full of big names and a heist movie to boot should have made this one succeed. Nope. That's not always how it works. Talent does not equal good. Hear about the shortcomings of Lift in this, our 90th episode!
Not to get political but with the election happening this month, it felt like the right time for a bad political thriller. Truthfully, not awful. Still bad. 1 too many twists and that's what brings you The Double. Can Richard Gere, Topher Grace and Martin Sheen save this movie? Not really no.
This did it. This movie broke me. I had watched this movie a week before recording and I was still angry when I talked about it. I go full rage mode on this one. You do not want to miss the end. One of the worst horror movie sequels of all-time. So lots of thoughts. Find out all the thoughts about the movie that should be called "I Still Know What You Did Two Summers Ago."
This bad movie won an Oscar! I know it's hard to believe. It also is the 2nd attempt to launch the Universal Dark Universe, which there have been 4 attempts so far. This one, might be my favorite of the attempts. So maybe this bad movie isn't really that bad. Check out this episode and find out!
What was supposed to be a small role became the main selling point on this movie for Robert DeNiro. Was it obvious? Maybe? But this movie is far from a Godsend. Evil kid is perfectly in time for the birth of Mike's son. So nailed it on the timing again for an episode. With a star studded cast, what went wrong? Mike goes over all the details.
It is the start of Spoopy Season! This one is actually special to me. I'm from Downers Grove, IL and they made a crappy horror movie that is about my town but wasn't filmed in my town. Of course I had to watch it. So hear about the non-curse curse movie that is more a teen drama and home invasion film than a curse film. But you know there's still a curse after all.
There have been 5 Crow movies. This is the 4th one and...um...it's something. A cast list full of names you'd recognize and an all-time awful performance from Dennis Hopper. Maybe the worst performance ever given in a movie. Well Mike takes us through it all.
Alright so does this count as a bad movie? Usually go for under 40 on both ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. I saw it when it only had 3% critics score. So I feel this counts. Borderlands had none of the fun of the game and all the script of an elementary school student. Hear all of Mike's thoughts on this dumpster fire. Spoilers for sure!
Only a week late for Father's Day unlike my Mother's Day episode. Find Owen Wilson and Ed Helms' father with me! The bad movie this time is Father Figures. Overall, not terrible. However some aspects definitely kill the movies momentum. Place your bets who you think the father is ahead of time!
Happy Mother's Day! Only like 3 weeks late. In honor of the holiday, Mike watched Stacy's Mom. Spoiler alert: it sucked and didn't feature a certain song from Fountains of Wayne. One of the positives? They stuck to budget. Maybe that's not good.
Episode 80! So let's talk about a movie that is exactly what you would expect. Piranhas, skin and water park filled with killer fish. What more could you want? Mike breaks it all down.
Happy Valentine's Day to you all! We have a special bad Rom-Com for you. It's From Justin to Kelly! A movie made for the winner and runner-up of the first season of American Idol. What are Mike's thoughts on it? Also what is believable/unbelievable in it?
One of the worst movies released in January of all-time Alone in the Dark. Also a big focus on Uwe Boll, the director. Hear all about this crazy guy and the movie he decided to make about the video game series.
Never too late to talk some Christmas movies. Ok seriously Mike fell behind editing. But now it's up! We talk a whole bunch of movies like Die Hard in theatres, Dream Scenario, Candy Cane Lane, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and more. We go on an Adam Sandler tangent because why not. And we talk about true Chanukah movies.
Happy New Year! We close out 2023 with the quiz of the year. All of the moments of TV and Movies that made 2023 what it was. Play along and see if you can beat the GFAM members. Let us know your thoughts on rounds or your score @gameforamovie everywhere!
Wee Man tried to break into Family friendly movies. Like this Christmas...classic? How does Mike feel about this one? Well he has some thoughts. Look up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a Troll!
Wow! We have a special Halloween Bad Movie episode for you. This on The Haunting (1999) featuring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta Jones, Owen Wilson and Lili Taylor. With a cast like that, what could go wrong? Well a lot apparently. Zach and Mike take you on a deep dive through ghost children, bad CGI and beheadings.
The whole GFAM is back! It's not just an Urban Legend. Well maybe it is. And Bloody Mary is the main legend covered in this bad movie. Get a blow by blow of Urabn Legends: Bloody Mary. Does Kate Mara attempt in this movie? Who killed Mary Banner? Why is Grace easily the best character? Listen in to find out!
5 bad horror movie episodes coming out this month. This is the first one! It's called The Silence. Starring Stanley Tucci and Kiernan Shipka. Basically A Quiet Place but worse. Hear Mike's thoughts on this Netflix original. Plus learn what a Vesp is.
Mr. Police I gave you the episode. You could have listened. Mike takes us through another stinker. This one is 2017's The Snowman. Watch when Mike's excitement turned to dread for this movie. Also the streak Michael Fassbender was on before and after this movie.
Mike is joined by special guest Jim to discuss 2015's Hot Pursuit. What did this movie make us think? And feel? We give it a new tagline. We compare it to things on the internet and more.
It was a big year of movies and TV shows. Let's see how much our hosts remember of the movies and TV shows of 2022. Of course play along as well! Then send us your scores to @GameForAMovie on Twitter!
We got invited to a Film Festival! The Yule Film Festival that was in Torrington, CT. I go through all the films I saw and also rank them in their categories, but spoilers, every single film was excellent!
Mike takes you back to the 90's with one of the first black superhero movies! Unfortunately they aren't all amazing. Steel was supposed to pick up the mantle from Superman after his death in the comics. Shaquille O'Neal doesn't pick up the mantle very well. Hear all about Steel!

We have a doozy for you this week. Andre, Jill and Mike hop into their mech suits to take down Atlantic Rim. This rip-off from the studio The Asylum was based or stolen from Pacific Rim. Jill learns some geography, Andre got drunk and all of us learned of some of the best Asylum rip-off movies.
After scheduling conflicts continuing to affect our recording schedule, Mike goes on a solo bad movie adventure with 2017's The Mummy. Hear his thoughts on the failed franchise starter.
Made up powers for a movie, a disgusting age difference between love interests and dragon balls? This all makes up the terrible movie that is Jonah Hex. Andre, Jill and Mike explore the DC inspired movie, if you could call it that. Hear their thoughts on the whole thing.
The sequel for Dr. Strange divides us on certain aspects of the character as well as the future of the MCU. Join Andre, Jill, Mike and Mitchell as they dreamwalk through the multiverse and give their thoughts.
4 people, 3 movies and all the banter you can handle! We talk Everything, Everywhere All at Once (the miniest of mini spoilers truthfully). Dive into the Sonic the Hedgehog sequel. Nothing gets us feeling more about a character like a mustache origin story. This is a Movie Banter episode where we talk about Uncharted, Prom The Musical and Death on the Nile. We also do #CashOrTrash!
It's a bad movie episode! Mike watched 2005's crime drama Edison (Force?). This movie stars Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, Justin Timberlake, LL Cool J, Dylan McDermott, Cary Elwes, Piper Perabo and John Heard. Is that enough to save this film? Find out what Mike thought. Also includes flamethrowers out of nowhere!
Earlier this month we went to New Orleans for the annual Nutmegger Trip! (We are from the Nutmeg state after all). So we talked about movies taking place or filmed in Louisiana. Do you have others? Tweet us @GameForAMovie
It's episode 45 which means a bad movie watched by the entire crew! We watched TransylMania which somehow Mike had on DVD. Find out how he got it plus fun facts that break Andre, how to properly hide weed up your butt and what we thought of this "comedy." Plus why Pete and Wang need their own movie now!
Andre took on the latest from Bruce Willis with Cosmic Sin. Was this a sin on everyone's life? Or was it nowhere near as bad as it seems? We also play #CashOrTrash for this bad movie episode!
Andre, Jill and Mike go through their top media of the year that was 2021! Also includes spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home, so make sure you've seen it! We also quickly cover our dishonorable of the year. It's a longer episode but we had a lot to cover!

It's the Christmas season and it's our bad movie season. So Mike watched the Hulk Hogan classic "Santa With Muscles." Hear his thoughts about the film plus the worst holiday movies Jill and Andre have seen. Also some sexual awakenings talk? You'd be correct.
We had 2 pumpkin beers on our show so see where they fall on Jill's Squash to Pie Scale. This episode is a Movie Banter episode featuring spooky movies. We cover Hell Fest, The Banana Splits Movie (2019), Muppets Haunted Mansion, Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Slender Man. We also talk our favorite scary movies and some horror video games as well!
It's our bad movie episode! It's also spooky month and Mike's choice for the bad movie. So he chose horror movie Osombie. Yes Osama Bin Laden as a zombie. How does this thing exist? Find out his thoughts on the plot as well as where he chose to watch it which might not have been the best place.
The second half of our new format. There is no bad movie on this one, just straight up movie banter between friends. The 2 movies we cover this week are Pig and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We also finish it off with #CashOrTrash and you better believe it gets crazy!

This one ended up going a little longer than normal but well worth it! This week we stuck to mostly new movies but include very little spoilers (all minor, no big plots). Mitchell caught the latest from Marvel with Black Widow. Jill told us about the Fear Street trilogy. Andre watched the latest Pixar movie Luca. Finally, Mike lost the Twitter poll and had to watch Bratz: The Movie. There are plenty of thoughts on that! Plus we have Cash or Trash and it might be our most unique one yet! Check it out!

Well technical difficulties and a bad computer decided to delete all our Dragonball Evolution content. Our original intention was to do half an episode on DBE and half an episode of a Questions and Answers. So instead of half an episode, you get a full episode of your questions and our answers! We had plenty of suggested questions and still could only get so many but we appreciate you all! So learn some of our best answers for questions you asked!
Is it still weird that we released another episode before episode 30 was recorded? Yes? Well deal with it! It will happen eventually. In the meantime you get an episode where Mike watched the Hulu original Boss Level. Andre catches up on some Pixar with Monster's University. Our loser Jill saw The Happytime Murders and you don't want to miss her thoughts on puppet movies in general. And we hit up #CashOrTrash for Bad Trip, Invincible and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Plus all the sidetracks we could possibly go down!
Promo: Dads on Dayquill
Back by popular demand, it's the Vampire Boys sequel! Mitchell had to tackle the sequel without seeing the first of course. But before that we have the classic film Clue from Mike and The Farewell reviewed by Jill. We also said it was episode 31 but it's releasing before episode 30 because life happens and I'm too lazy to actually edit it. We also do #CashOrTrash for I Care A Lot, Marriage or Mortgage and Last Chance U. Promo from our friends at Shoot The Flick!
Well I couldn't fix it better in the editing but it really is the 29th episode! Ignore the talk about episode 28, I was probably drunk. Full episode for you! Andre did a double feature of Date Night and Fate of the Furious or #FateNight for those twitter folks. Mitchell saw the new Judas and the Black Messiah. Jill brought us the recent flick The Lovebirds. Finally, our loser Mike watched the romance movie Vampire Boys. Claire also joins us for a fun round #CashOrTrash

Mike got into the competitive spirit with The Speed Cubers. Andre taught us the based on a true story film Bad Education. And Mitchell was our loser and swiped way left on the film Swiped. We also give our thoughts on Wonder Woman 1984. Life is good, but what can be better than a new Game For A Movie!
Yep it's a 2 for bad movie episode. But first, Andre in a Cyberpunk mood watched the animated Ghost in the Shell movie. Not the ScarJo one! Jill gave us the origin of Santa Claus in Klaus. Also tune into our Instagram or Facebook page where we share movie news and more!
The pandemic can't keep us down! We are back with episode 24. Throughout the pandemic Jill and Andre have been plowing through the Fast and Furious movies. Here is what they thought of the first 5 and of course Hobbs & Shaw. Marvel 616 has launched on Disney+. Mitchell watched the first one about the Japanese Spider-Man and how it came to be. And finally, our loser Mike watched the poorly named Tsunambee. Hear his thoughts on that!
It's been awhile but we finally had part of our podcast team in person! Andre, Jill and Mike were able to meet in person. They were also able to catch Mitchell on the phone from the laundromat. This episode was all about director debuts! The first film available for certain directors. Mitchell was able to find Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench, this coming from Damien Chazelle. Andre has seen Ex Machina before but used this as an excuse to watch Alex Garland's first. Mel Brooks' first was The Producers which is what Jill watched. Sam Mendes' 1917 was one of Mike's favorites this past award season so he went back to watch American Beauty which was very uncomfortable viewing, even though it was good!

With so many movies out we encourage all movies to be talked about, not just the new ones. So when Andre hadn't seen a new movie, he was worried about doing the podcast. We had a good time talking about the old Lord of the Rings movies which are the most recent ones he has seen. Mike talked about The Gentlemen but more specifically the Gangster comedy genre as a whole. Mitchell had a lot to pick from but ended up discussing Uncut Gems. And Mike closed it out with a review of Cats.
