Two years after the release of their groundbreaking concept album, “Operation: Mindcrime”, Queensrÿche released the most successful album of their career in 1990, entitled “Empire”, with the blockbuster power ballad, “Silent Lucidity”, leading the charge and giving the band their first #1 hit on the Mainstream Rock Tracks in Billboard.
