Part 1 of a very enjoyable freeform discussion on all things John Lennon (plus some inevitable Macca/Beatles crossover)with music professor and Beatles podcaster Dave Thurmaier (he's the one on the right!). In this part, we discuss such topics as Dave’s podcast, the many incarnations of John, why he makes for such a compelling figure, (and I mention Marlon Brando once or twice!), the Beatles course Dave taught, what John would have done post-1980 and the technical aspects of and differences between Lennon and McCartney's songwriting styles
