Philo of Alexandria, (20 BCE – c. 50 CE), also called Philo Judaeus, was a Hellenistic Jewish philosopher who lived in Alexandria, in the Roman province of Egypt. Many of his works are survived to us through the Church, such as his writings on the Trinity, the Logos, and other Hellenistic Jewish ideas that influenced early Christianity.
