Women and Militarism w/ Sarah Raymundo

In this important episode of Guerrilla History, bring on Sarah Raymundo to discuss Women and Militarism, with a particular focus on the context of the Philippines, but ranging far beyond that!  Within this conversation, we discuss the impact of militarism, and imperialist/colonialist military presence on women, as well as women's resistance to militarism.  This is a critical discussion, and Sarah brings out many important threads here within the conversation. Sarah Raymundo is a faculty member at the University of the Philippines-Diliman Center for International Studies. She is engaged in activist work in BAYAN (The New Patriotic Alliance), the International League of Peoples’ Struggles, and Chair of the Philippines-Bolivarian Venezuela Friendship Association.
