Heartwork - Quran Study: Surah Taha 9

This week’s session of Heartwork, we’ll be discussing the next passage in Surah Taha, starting at verse 42. Pharoah is one of the greatest tyrants of all time - he oppressed thousands and thousands under his control, and eventually inflated his ego to the point where he pronounced "I am god the most high!" His transgressions against God and humanity reached such limits, Allah gave Musa and Harun (as) the mission to go and speak to him. When someone is clearly in the wrong, and they wrong others while they're at it, when we address their mistakes/aggressions, the last thing we think about is to make sure we speak to them with etiquette, care, and compassion. Normally, our goal is to show them they're wrong, and to end the harm that they're doing - our etiquette is an afterthought (if a thought at all).
