67 min • 10 juli 2017

Welcome to this weeks episode of The Heavy Metal History Podcast!

Moving into July of 1987 we witness the birth of Grindcore with Napalm Death’s groundbreaking and terrifying fast album “Scum” while Guns N’ Roses explodes the hair metal scene releasing “Appetite for Destruction” into the world and the legendary Ronnie James Dio puts out Dream Evil, and album that according to Dio was made during a very unhappy time and maybe in some aspects it shows on the records and in some it doesn't, because the album itself holds up even 30 years later.

Albums we discussed this week were:

  • Napalm Death - "Scum"

  • Dio - "Dream Evil"

  • Guns N' Roses - "Appetite for Destruction"
