#47 Mike Speakman (Comic Writer, Spacecopz)

Welcome to this weeks episode of The Heavy Metal History Podcast. Joining Dustin and Matt is an aussie Comic Book writer Mike Speakman. Mike is the creator of a couple indie comic books such as "Carmen" and "Spacecopz."
Dustin and Matt wanted to have a creator on the show to really delve into how heavy  metal has roots in other forms of art as a form of inspiration and comic books are just that thing! Mike talks about his roots of metal, growing up in the era of illegally downloading music and filesharing and all the aussie festivals and shows he went to. We share our undying mutual love for The Dillinger Escape Plan and the rest is history!
