Welcome to this weeks episode of Heavy Metal History, my guest this week is lead singer Ryo Kinoshita, of the Japanese Metalcore band Crystal Lake. Ryo came on the podcast to discuss with me all things about the band, as well as his influences and how the band has managed to successfully crossover to “mainstream” success for being a Japanese band which is no small feat in itself. We also discuss the how hard it was to write this record while touring almost full time, the bands expectations vs reality with touring the states and the American crowds vs Japanese crowds.
