Subscribe here to ensure you get your copy: https://greyfornow.com/pages/subscribe 02 Hundred Hours is a forthcoming skirmish wargame focusing on night-time raids in World War II. Field an elite force of Commandos, SAS, Paratroopers and Rangers to infiltrate the enemy lines under cover of darkness. Recruit SOE spies and local resistance fighters to bolster your chances. Launch attacks on radar stations, munition factories, airfields, bridges and rail lines. Sneak past sentries, take them out with silent attacks, or open fire with a devastating ambush. Plant charges to destroy your objective, assassinate a target or grab vital intel, then fight your way to safety before reinforcements arrive. Or play as the defenders, carefully setting patrol routes so your sentries can spot raiders in the shadows, utilize guard dogs, officers or even the dreaded Gestapo and make use of informants and intercepted transmissions to thwart the attackers’ plans. Inspired by classic war movies as well as historical events, 02 Hundred Hours is a fast paced game with roughly 10-20 models on either side. The game’s Alert system makes stealth a core part of the action – spotting your enemy in the darkness is key to victory! 0200 is about to release, keep up to date by checking out: Grey for Now W: https://greyfornow.com/ FB: https://www.facebook.com/greyfornow FB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/525943848803187/
Daniel talks about his experience using Forward Observers and tries (poorly) to get Tabletop simulator to play along! If you think these units are over costed, hold little value or you don't have ideas of how to use them, this video will lift the veil on most of their uses and applications for you to learn from. I've found them a very useful unit to include, although you need to consider whether it will suit your play style. Comment, critique and give feedback on how you might otherwise use Observers or whether you avoid them completely.
The HMG team takes a deep dive into the official confirmation of Bolt Action V3. Tune in if you want to hear all about the news, and what we think! The HMG Podcast often talk about the awesome Perth hobby community, but this time we wanted to talk and hear directly from them! So at the end of 2023 we got a few volunteers on to walk through some interview questions. Dan is joined by Bob, Adam, Sean as well as submitted answers from Russ and Nic who all have different backgrounds in wargaming providing some great answers. Reckon you've got better questions to ask? Send them in we'd love to include them for the next one! Give it a listen and If you like this format let us know in the comments.
Dan and Jackson meet up and review the recent Wheel of Fortune event and the antics of Day 1. Jackson was seeking to bring a list that would form the basis of his revenge at Cancon, whilst Daniel literally took a page from the history books.
Tabletop wargaming systems age as time goes on, making them feel predictable or old fashioned and may lead to them becoming stale for players. Is the only way to "fix" this perceived problem a version 3 for Bolt Action? Dan talks through his thoughts on these questions whilst reflecting on Perth's gaming community. Does Perth think it will go stale? My money is on no!
Dan and Jacob meet up again and review the recent Motor Mayhem Tank Wars event followed by an in depth discussion on utilizing transports in Bolt Action Do check out Bo Mortensen's transport tutorial video here: https://youtu.be/ahoxIyUf-PM?si=euwI6y311ToAU1le
Dan and Jacob walk through a little bit of a discussion on the topic of their own and the community's picks for: - Your favorite infantry, - Your favourite tank, - What do you consider to be the worst infantry - What do you consider to be the worst tank - And a point or two on what we'd like to see Warlord do in a golden universe
Join Jacob, Daniel & Gorcin discussing the Bolt Action: World Open War Training tournament hosted at Good Games Cannington in Perth back in March 2023, our thoughts from the day, the upcoming event and a round analysis of each game played.
Jacob and Daniel delve into Armies of Japan and the best core infantry units in the game. We gloss over the internet meta choices and reference a few other subtleties that are often missed. Don't believe us? Tell us why we're wrong! There are 3 comments made incorrectly in the cast, likely due to tiredness of the hosts! 1) Fanatic/vehicle interactions - whilst the vehicles get fanatic as a unit in the army, they are not a unit of two or more models which removes most of the benefits. However nothing under Fanatic specifically removes it from a vehicle pending future FAQ clarifications. 2) Banzai charge from a transport - this was Dan having a brain freeze. you need to 'see' a target to banzai, so no free dismount. 3) light mortar pins don't stack. somewhere I referenced in error that they did, I meant to say those pins would/could be spread.
Fresh off the back of this year's Band of Brothers event run by our very own Gorcin we sat down to go over the day for us and offer up our thoughts on the event. Editor Note: Tyler was recording the video and his internet sucked so the audio appears out of sync and visuals go down occasionally. Hopefully this will be rectified for next time!
