The far right continue their shambolic campaign in Batley, finding very little traction amongst the community so far. It's starting to feel like they are in the race for the wrong reasons as Jayda Fransen waves around larger and larger crucifixes and denounces 'fake nationalists' but says nothing of note to the community she claims she wants to represent.
While we laugh at the far right's folly we are also reminded by two court cases that show how dangerous these ideas really are. An ex-UKIP member has been found guilty of ten counts related to terror and explosives, and the founder of System Resistance Network has also been found guilty of multiple charges.
In Batley, despite the attempts of the far right to sow division the local community has come together giving cause for hope.
