I Wish I Knew THAT About Songwriting
This week we have a guest to remember.
Aside from being an incredibly warm and insightful human, Mary Heather Hickman seems to never stop writing, releasing, and touring.
Born and raised in Arkansas with country in her heart, she took the plunge and moved to Nashville to work as a writer. Finding herself with songs that she felt too personal to give away, the story of Mary Heather Hickman began.
She made waves as somewhat of an outlaw, unafraid to write about the world as she sees it, no matter the opinions of others. From murder ballads to viral singles, she caught the attention of iHeart Radio and also came to be featured on The Bobby Bones Show.
This is only the beginning for her.
We caught up with Mary Heather to hear about the experiences that have shaped her career so far, going deep into her writing process and philosophy in support of her brand new single.
You can stream ‘Small Town Saturday Night’ right now and support an incredible and deserving artist.
