The girls are back out at Osage Hills Retreat Center this week talking to several brilliant entrepreneur women who love crafting and sharing their ideas with other amazing entrepreneurs. They like to refer to this as speed dating! First up, their good friend from across the pond (and now a Tulsan), Dee Bushrod also known as Pixel Quilts on instagram, joins the girls and talk shop! You will LOVE listening to her story! Also joining the show, Erika Pinkley with Little Glass Quilts shares her story of building beautiful stained glass quilts. She is a quilter at heart so this is a natural craft for her! The third visitor is Janelle Peterson with WestWind Creative, who holds retreats for creative crafty folks! This week the girls visit with The Little Green Bean herself, Missy Luukkonen! She may be best known for her gnome shop on Etsy, but she is a full-time maker and has been sewing for more than 30 years! Her whimsical, but practical items caught Leslie's eye and her love for teaching caught Ro's. She runs her business full time with her husband, Mike. They have 3 boys and live in Minnesota, where the summers are wonderful and the winters are long! She learned to sew in high school and has loved it ever since.  She is now enjoying the opportunity to connect with crafters all over the world through her teaching platform. Unfortunately, Rochelle's father, Richard passed on December 17th so she has taken some time to grieve privately before discussing.

Gigi has a new grandGIRL! Landyn Stone (Cherry) was born July 31st and they are all super excited to welcome her into the family. Leslie is also in the middle of construction zone. Hardwood floors are being installed and she and Jon have been in crazy-ville for a a couple of weeks. This means that it's a perfect time for her to re-do her studio! And finally, Rochelle catches everyone up on her recent trip to Africa. It's quite an adventure and also quite dangerous. They also reveal an upcoming podcast guest! Leslie and Rochelle are preparing for Quilt Retreat coming up in Quitman, Texas. Leslie hasn't even started packing, which is very unlike her, but she talks about some ideas of what else to take other than the single quilt she has prepared to bring. Hand work is always a good idea!

Rochelle comes up with a new idea for wringing fabric out after starching. Leslie has been spraying with a powered sprayer in her shower, but Rochelle has been dunking and wringing with a new, fancy hand wringer (see link below).

Rochelle got a new phone and tested it out on her trip to Arizona! Finally! She is learning all the things about her new technology! Rochelle's parents listen in and give their feedback.  They talk about flying and meeting people while traveling. Rochelle meets Martin and makes sure he knows she is a big deal! Rochelle attends the Pinners Conference and the Kids In Focus fund raiser in Phoenix and tells all! Our friends, Melissa and Michelle meet with Rochelle in Arizona and surprise us with a fun treat! Quilt Festival was in full swing and Rochelle and Leslie received a ton of messages and photos from quilty friends in Houston wearing IQ shirts and having a blast!  They also received feedback from the "under 30's" and learn all about their community. Rochelle is still suffering from her concussion and it is obvious! She stalks a man in Walmart for starch and then talks about all of the shortages of our stuff. Leslie’s Breakfast Casserole 

• 13x9 inch pan, grease the bottom with Pam
• Layer 1 bag of frozen hash browns on the bottom
• Cook meat of choice (I use sausage) and let it cool a bit
• Mix 12 eggs with 1 cup of milk and then add 1 cup of cheddar cheese
• Mix in 2 tsp of each: salt, dill, dry mustard, and minced onion
• Mix in 1 tsp of each: pepper and cayenne pepper
• Mix well then add cooled meat to mixture
• Pour over hash browns
• Cover top with 1 more cup of cheese and refrigerate overnight
• Cook at 350 degrees uncovered for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until top is brown and the edges are bubbling.

1. Botox is drug of choice
2. Always wear a string of pearls because you’ll feel pretty (they don’t have to be real)
3. Underwear is optional, but an apron is necessary

Covid strikes! Leslie goes 2 years without it and then BAM! Covid. So pardon the scratchy voice this time!
