This week the girls catch up on Camp Rochelle Wanna Sew. Also, there were sit ins for Leslie at the Guild meeting where she was nominated and voted to help Rochelle run programs for the next two years. Rochelle gives some tips for needles with paper piecing. They talk through where they are with the Christmas Quilt Kit Sew Alongs. So much cutting, but sew worth it! This week the girls do a retreat recap and talk about the Quilting Olympics. They started a new trend and now they are coming up with ways to dominate in the next Olympics! She may be best known for her gnome shop on Etsy, but she is a full-time maker and has been sewing for more than 30 years! Her whimsical, but practical items caught Leslie's eye and her love for teaching caught Ro's. She runs her business full time with her husband, Mike. They have 3 boys and live in Minnesota, where the summers are wonderful and the winters are long! She learned to sew in high school and has loved it ever since. Rochelle is getting ready for cruising week while Leslie took a quick cruise to the colonoscopy. Rochelle had a little confusion about vaseline, but no worries! It was quickly sorted out. Rochelle talks about her Breathalyzer test story from high school… yes. You read that correctly. Ro found her Joe and they are getting closer each week! She sewed projects this past weekend and even got the binding finished! Covid strikes! Leslie goes 2 years without it and then BAM! Covid. So pardon the scratchy voice this time!
