TRAVEL WITH CELTIC INVASION VACATIONSEvery year, I take a small group of Celtic music fans on the relaxing adventure of a lifetime. We don't see everything. Instead, we stay in one area. We get to know the region through its culture, history, and legends. You can join us with an auditory and visual adventure through podcasts and videos.
June 3 - 10, 2023, I am leading a Celtic Invasion of County Mayo, Ireland. We’re gonna visit Westport and Clare Island. We’re gonna discover some of the roots of Grace O’Malley, the famous, or infamous, Pirate Queen.
That’s all the details I currently have for the invasion. If you want to find out more, subscribe to the mailing list at http://celticinvasion.com/
And do so soon, because the trip is already nearly full.

Alexander Randall 5th emailed: “Marc: I was delighted to hear the Achendoun set by Chivalrous Crickets. Their handling of the Bonnie Prince Charlie March is the best I have ever heard. It is so energetic that I began to think, "If I were on my death bed, I'd want to hear this. If my hand taps my thigh, then I am still alive, but if not, then I am dead."
This got me to thinking what would my "deathbed playlist" include? If I am in hospice and on the verge of death and a band were to come into my room to play music, what would I want on that list?
The Chivalrous Crickets playing this Auchendoun set would top the list.
St. Anne's Reel would be next.
Capricalle playing Argyle Ladies is third...
Miller's Maggot
All from your podcast!!!
I wish I could get a read on the third part of this attached tune. It starts as the humoresque and ends with one of the coolest riffs ever... The liner notes say "An Old Man Comes in and Sits Down" I wish I knew where to find other versions of this...
Thank you for reading what your listeners say.”
He followed that up with another email: “The Old Man Walks Into The Room And Sits Down’
I found one recording of this by Celtic stone.
DId anyone else record this?”
Woodland Folk sent pictures of what he described as Eden. See those pictures in the shownotes.
