Neal Ó Muircheartaigh (pron: O O Mer-hur-tig) emailed photos: "Mr.Gunn, I’ve been meaning to send u a note w a pic of what I do while listening to your most excellent podcast but the truth is, I involve your collaboration of these fine independent artists in nearly everyday of my life...from pumping fire engines, to running the rainy beach sands w my huskies to roadtrippin the great Continental USA w my wife and children, this music awakens the portals of both my motivation and meditation. It throws homage to my ancestral roots in this incredibly busy reality. Please know it is so much appreciated this portal you have created...Thank you!"
Thom Danger Speck emailed photos: "It’s a cold Saturday evening up in Toronto. I’m getting ready for a gig tonight but first, jamming to your podcast as I make my family a shepherds pie! Stay warm!"
Bill Smith emailed: "First, I'm playing computer games while listening, as usual. Second, the bale of hay that they toss with a pitch fork is called the Sheaf Toss. All the best."
Trevor Teuscher emailed: "Mark, Thanks for standing your ground on the 'SJW' comment. First of all, it is your podcast, so you can include whatever you feel is important for your podcast.
Second, you had every right to defend your friend/guest host from inappropriate and mean-spirited comments. Also, as someone who has listened to the podcast since sometime during its first year of existence, I think it should be pretty obvious by now that listening to all aspects of Irish and Celtic music and exploring all aspects of the culture has always been what this podcast is about. It seems to me that if you were to bow to the desires and wishes of these internet trolls, you would be going against the very well-established tenets that your podcast has always been based on.
This isn't whatever it is these trolls are trying to turn it into. In fact, the only people who are trying to politicize your podcast appear to be those trolls themselves, as far as I can tell. I will continue to listen to and support the podcast for as long as it goes on, and I want to thank you for all that you do to make it such a great podcast."
