12. Pumapunku: Erasing Indigenous Cultures For Political Gain

The site of Pumapunku is home to some incredible, immaculate carved stones that are so precise that researchers are still today trying to find out how they were made. And, of course, whenever there’s a gap in knowledge, ancient astronaut theorists always fill it with ALIENS!

But beyond those weirdos, these important ancient sites have been co-opted and weaponized by completely different peoples and political groups to try and spread their own agendas. Yep, we’re talking about Nazis in this one. Also Elon Musk. Sorry in advance.
