JDNB Premiere - You Heard It Here First! No stranger to the scene, up next we have a totally wicked 5 track debut solo EP from Berlin based Japanese prolific producer & DJ, Tomoyoshi. Tomoyoshi - Listen:- Starting off with a down riser and filtering wobbles, the short intro doesn't keep you waiting long for the drop. When it hits it's pure rolling drums and deep bass, you'll be drawing for this every set. Tomoyoshi - Approach:- Straight into track two we have this vibing number. Starting off with a soulful, funky intro and tight, crisp drums. Moving forward with a classic style bass riff, notice the mesmerizing sheen on the snare drum and the second drop, proper vibes! Tomoyoshi - Back In The Dayz:- The EP's title track is absolutely off the hook and you could say it is a nod to the Full Cycle, V Recordings and Philly Blunt labels. Expect hypnotising pads, stepping drums, distorted 808s, wob basses and classy ear candy... Back in the dayz! Tomoyoshi - Emptiness Is Form:- Opening up with a half time intro break laced with catchy pads and the bass and beats filtering in, when the alluring subs arrive they are hitting hard like a train. Tomoyoshi - Bad:- Last but definitely not least, bad enters with a really eerie soundscape and distorted guitar like sounds, filtering drums which take you through to the drop.
