Parashat Terumah: The Divine Call To Build a Sanctuary for G-d In This World

Parashat Terumah is the moment G-d has been waiting for…’And they shall make for Me a Sanctuary, and I will dwell among them’ (Ex. 25:8). It’s the secret of the Tabernacle/Holy Temple, G-d’s dream of being welcomed into this world. It is also destined and prophesized to become the ‘house of prayer for all nations’ (Isaiah 56:7)…and in that vision of the future world, the Torah, housed within the Ark of the Covenant, resonates from Jerusalem and broadcasts light from Jerusalem to all the world.
