April 2010 - Gerald Gotzen informs the medical volunteers and staff of the Jewish Voice Ministries International medical outreach to the Beta Israel and Beit Avraham Jewish communities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia about the 3,000-year history of Jews in Ethiopia. He explains that the Ethiopian man that Philip mentions in the New Testament book of Acts 8:26-38 was a Jew heading toward Jerusalem to worship. He also explains that the Ethiopian's name meant "shield" or "protector."
