Keeping It Real: Conversations with Jillian Michaels
ROY RICHARD GRINKER, professor of anthropology and international affairs at George Washington University, and author of the book, Nobody’s Normal: How Culture Created the Stigma of Mental Illness joins Jillian to discuss how culture contributes to the stigma of obesity, mental illness, and homophobia. Plus, we look at how mental illness is viewed in other nations, and how society and environment can be part of the solution. We also cover how parents can pass on trauma to a baby through epigenetics and what we can do about it.
