Heesoo Chung is a landscape photographer based in Sydney, known for his diverse range of scapes, including seascapes, cityscapes, landscapes, and nightscapes.
In mid-2015, he embarked on a four-month journey through South East Asia, armed with a small point and shoot camera. Little did he know that this decision would have a profound impact on his life. He became completely captivated by photography, immersing himself in the art and forgetting to eat at times due to his newfound obsession.
Since then, his passion for photography has continued to drive him forward. Heesoo has encountered and learned countless things he had never previously considered. The journey has pushed him to his limits, with long drives, sleepless nights, exhausting hikes, and enduring days of being soaked to capture the perfect shot.
The process of envisioning a scene, considering all the variables, and persistently striving to capture the desired image has become an incredibly rewarding experience for him. The satisfaction of holding a tangible print that reflects his initial idea or interpretation is indescribable.
We discuss why he takes the images he does and how sis sense of adventure has driven his photography, the reason he’s currently not monetising his photography along with a lot more!
I hope you enjoy the show!
