Stephen Tinsley, the elected sheriff of Clinch County, Georgia and his wife, Deputy April Tinsley, were stopped at a gas station hours away from their jurisdiction when Deputy Tinsley told her husband a man inside the store groped her buttocks. Sheriff Tinsley arrested Darius Rice and handed him over to local deputies. Deputy Tinsley was accused of snatching Rice’s girlfriend’s phone away from her when she tried to record, but no charges were ever filed. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber has video of part of the confrontation and analyzes the lawsuit against the law enforcement couple.
