Fanny Bourdette-Donon is the International PR and Special Projects Manager for Dior Beauty. Fanny was raised in Rwanda, studied in France, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in fashion where she had a chance encounter with Dior’s Jérôme Pulis - a meeting that would kick start her career within the luxury house. Today, she’s one of the most well known names in the business of fashion, working closely with the luxury house’s brand ambassadors, coordinating public relations internationally, and is an influential figure herself for her enviable style and inspirational work ethic. In this episode, Fanny and I discuss the movement for Black Lives Matter and how it’s dramatically shifted her mindset, what it means to be a Black woman in the fashion industry and in France, and the importance of allyship in the mission for equality.
