Kirsty Godso is fitness luminary and entrepreneur who’s redefining the wellness industry, or as she likes to call it, “The Business of Bodies.” A New Yorker by way of New Zealand, Kirsty got her start while teaching a class at her local gym and was recruited by Nike on the spot to start working recording workouts for their app, Nike Training Club. Fast-forward, Kirsty is now a global spokeswoman for the brand and a Nike Master Trainer, often featured as the face of their app for her high intensity workouts and hot sauce burpees. She’s also the founder of her own high intensity collective, Pyrogirls, and her own protein powder company Made Of. In this episode, Kirsty and I talk about growing up in New Zealand and moving to the big bad apple, why she’s challenging gender norms in the gym, and how she’s defined her “why” in fitness and beyond.
