An unofficial and non-afilliated podcast about the music, the stories and most importantly the fans of the band Suede. A non-chronological look at – eventually – every LP, every b-side, every huge show, every important TV performance, and yes every bit of upheaval that is central to the band’s story. It starts and ends with you!
The podcast Litter On The Breeze – A Suede Podcast is created by Litter On The Breeze Productions. The podcast and the artwork on this page are embedded on this page using the public podcast feed (RSS).

We also find time to discuss The Smiths, The Jam and...er..Wonky Alice.

Litter On The Breeze returns with an episode I always hoped I'd get to do at some point, but never imagined it would be this soon. Yes, I am talking to Politics Podcaster, music magazine editor and all-round chap Mr Andrew Harrison. Yes, that Andrew Harrison! In the course of today's episode we discover how he became the editor of Select Magazine and what his aims were for the publication, and then look closely at the in/famous front cover of Brett Anderson superimposed in front of a Union Jack, complete with the words 'Yanks Go Home!'. We find out where the idea came from, how it was all put together, and of course the wave of reaction it caused and still continues to cause!
I hope you all enjoy listening to this one as much as I did recording it ; very much a bucket list item (if people still say that!).

The invaluable Select Magazine Scans page. Most of the editions themselves are incomplete, but everything you need re April 1993 at least is there.
"70 quid", indeed...!!!

Litter On The Breeze returns by looking out of the window and taking in some of the sights, sounds, and oh yes, smells of Suede's 'Coming Up' album! Today we are joined by another Person Who Was There In The Nineties in the form of Cllr Richard Lawley , with whom I have been known to attend the odd Suede gig - as you will hear about! In addition, we discuss how he got into the band, how they compared with other acts who happened to be around at the time, and a story about a purchase that he would come to regret..!
After that we take the usual detour-strewn trip into parts of the album itself, picking out some of our favourite moments!
And stay tuned to the end of the episode for some news on the future of the podcast, both short and long term (Don't worry - it's staying!)

Litter On The Breeze returns by paying its first visit to Proper Pop Stars, Suede - 1996 edition!
Today we flick through the pages of another music monthly - this time Vox Magazine from August 1996. I talk about Vox's output in general, before diving into the cover feature itself. Expect discussion about Suede's place within the music landscape of 1996, the (non)-relationship with at least one of their peers, and chip shops. Lots and lots of chip shops.
I then look at some of the albums reviewed in this month's edition of the magazine to help get a sense of the world 'Coming Up' would be released into, allowing me to wax lyrical about the likes of Placebo, Metallica, Electronic, Beck, Screaming Trees, Shampoo...And Many More...

Litter On The Breeze returns by looking at all things surrounding a little Suede album by the name of 'Dog Man Star'. What possible source material could that ever give us? Today we are joined by another guest, and again it was someone who was in the thick of it during 1994 - and who rightly describes it as one of the very greatest years for music, Ben! We'll learn how he first came across the band, how he acquired certain copies of certain Suede records, and a chat about...er..Select's favourite albums of 1997!
After that we take the usual detour-strewn trip into parts of the album itself, picking out some of our favourite moments!

Litter On The Breeze returns by paying its first visit to Suede in 1994. What could possibly go wrong? Today we flick through the pages of our first Music Monthly - namely the October 1994 edition of Select Magazine. After commemorating a poignant anniversary, I dive into an article in which Bernard What Used To Be In Suede gets discussed a lot...albeit not really by the band.
Time is also found to talk about Sugar, Massive Attack and, on about four occasions, Manic Street Preachers....

Litter On The Breeze returns with our first foray into an album and an era, and it just happens to be that of the debut LP 'Suede'! All 100,000 copies sold in its first week of it. Today we are joined by our first ever guest, and one who was fortunate enough to be there at the time (whilst I was still in the realms of 'No Limit', Lucy! She was fortunate enough to be swept up in the whirlwind of SuedeMania at the time. We'll learn how she first came across the band, how she got on board, and the means by which the album was acquired on the very first day of release!
After that we take a detour-strewn trip around the album itself, picking out some of our favourite and our least favourite moments.
