We procrastinated as long as we could, but it’s finally time for David, Richard, and Rebecca to predict the nominations ahead of the Jan. 23 announcement. It’s the day after the 2025 Golden Globes Awards and the *Little Gold Men* team is recapping how it all went down, from the best acceptance speeches to the gossip at the afterparties. Rebecca and David, who were at the Beverly Hilton, share some of the most interesting insights from attendees at the show, and Richard joins them to discuss how some of the best acceptance speeches give certain actresses a big leg up in the very competitive best actress category for the Oscars.

David, Richard, and Rebecca ring in the New Year as only an awards podcast can—with awards predictions! The host break down the major film categories ahead of Sunday’s Golden Globes, from obvious frontrunners to a few candidates primed to shake up the Oscar race.

Speaking live in front of an audience at the Denver Film Festival, the actor revealed how she and director Mike Leigh reunited almost 30 years after making Secrets & Lies. She also told Rebecca and Richard about the unusual process she went through to create Pansy, which required her to take inspiration from 100 real people. Happy Holidays! Rebecca spoke with British actor Nicholas Hoult about his latest film, Nosferatu, which hit theaters Christmas Day. Hoult is having a very busy season, with three films — Nosferatu, The Order, and Juror #2—coming out within a few weeks of each other. He revealed his crazy shooting schedule for all three back-to-back, and spoke about working with the directors, who all had very different styles. Plus, he played a round of Proust Questionnaire Roulette.

For their final roundtable of 2024, David, Richard, and Rebecca break down the biggest movie releases around Christmas—as well as some of the smaller titles to keep your eye on. Later, they’re joined by a special guests (VF editors Radhika Jones and Mike Hogan) for a deep dive into the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown. Plus, an analysis of the Oscar shortlists. 

Following her Oscar nod for King Richard and celebrated lead turn in Origin, Ellis-Taylor is back in the awards race for Nickel Boys—and ready for the tough conversations that come with it: “I wish I had the volume of choices that my white women contemporaries have.”

The Oscar-nominated actress talks to Rebecca about the film's bold and honest take on motherhood and relationships. While making the film, in which she plays a mother who is convinced she's turning into a dog, Adams says she learned to accept both her character and herself in a new way. "I wasn't judging myself, and I was meeting her where I was at and approaching it without vanity," she says. Plus, Adams looks back on making films like Enchanted and Sunshine Cleaning, and reveals what she did when she debated leaving acting for good.

David, Richard, and Rebecca break down all of the major surprises (Pamela Anderson! Kate Winslet!) and snubs (No Danielle Deadwyler or Marianne Jean-Baptiste?) from Monday's Golden Globes nominations announcement—both in terms of how they might impact the Oscar race, and how they reflect a (somewhat) changed Globes membership.
