In February 1987, 15-year-old Jennifer Pandos disappeared from her teenage bedroom never to be seen again. As the case grew cold, the investigation began to focus on Jennifer’s parents, leaving Stephen Pandos, Jennifer’s older brother, torn between believing in his mother’s innocence and believing she was withholding information. 

The 2023 HBO MAX docuseries, Burden of Proof, by filmmaker Cynthia Hill, is the beautifully told story of how a terrible tragedy can impact a family.
