Over the past twelve years, Sleigh Bells have experimented and tinkered with a variety of sounds in the five records they’ve released since Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller’s unlikely meeting at a Brazilian restaurant in Williamsburg. For Live on KEXP, Troy Nelson takes us through the variety of atmospherics the band has tried their hands at. Cheryl Waters then chats with Krauss about the duo’s songwriting process and the Southern country influences that Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton had on their new record, Texas.
Recorded 10/27/2021.
