“No matter the season, He is worthy of it all, and we need to stop being obsessed with where the end is, because we already know the end, and that needs to become our obsession.” - Katherine Warnock
When we walk in true intimacy with Jesus, it allows us to live out of our truest identity, bringing an offering of our lives from a place of obedience and devotion rather than performance or shame. When we recognize the freedom found therein and follow after Christ in whatever He puts our hands to, we bear abundant fruit. In this episode, Liz connects with Katherine Warnock, Vice President of Content on the television show “The Chosen”. Katherine shares her compelling journey of moving through challenging seasons of “prisons and palaces” with Christ, and reveals keys that she gained along the way, specifically on how the Lord walked with her through a season of navigating and experiencing freedom from crippling shame.
One of the keys that Katherine discovered was the invitation to be in-process with the Lord. Grace is a necessary tool to experience wholeness from shame, knowing that God has called us to walk with Him in the journey, not live in a place of striving for perfection. This intimacy yields a deep fruit from our lives, and reconnects us to an eternal focus to do what He has called us to do. No matter the season, He is worthy of it all. When we live in awareness of our union with Him, fruitfulness will flow from our lives, because to abide in Him is enough. Obedience in abiding creates an offering to the Lord that is pleasing, and if we became a people more concerned with our offering rather than our human effort, and our doing, we would see immense pleasure from Heaven poured out upon us. As Katherine prays, experience the Holy Spirit as the comforter, the light, and the strength to stand and walk on the trail with Him. Just a drop of the oil of His presence is enough to resurrect your life. He is liberating us to live authentically and shining Him through our stories!
